Federal High Court, has sentenced a 32-year-old woman, Helen Carlos, to 30 months imprisonment for possession of illicit drugs, in Kaduna State.
The High Court, sentenced the 32-year-old after she pleaded guilty to the charge of possession of illegal substance brought against her by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA.
Helen was sentenced without an option of fine, and the 30 months imprisonment was in cognisance with the record that she was a first-time convict.
NDLEA prosecuting counsel, T. J. Atserhegh earlier, told the court that the convict was arrested on September 14th, by some officers of the Agency, along Kaduna-Abuja Road.
