An Abuja High Court has threatened to jail the Director General of the Department of State Services, DSS Yusuf Bichi for the continued imprisonment of the convener of the revolution-now-movement, Omoyele Sowore.
The Court ruled that the previous order issued for the DSS to detain Sowore for forty-five days had lapsed Tuesdau, and ordered that he be immediately released.
In a notice addressed to Bichi, the Court criticized the DSS Boss for not releasing Sowore despite an order issued to that regard. But the DSS denied disobeying the Court orders and explained why Sowore was still in its custody.
DSS Spokesman, Peter Afunanya said that Sowore and his lawyers had not concluded the process that would enable the Service to comply with the Court order. He added that Sowore’s lawyers are competent to know the required documents to show before he could be released.
