An Ethiopian Airline Boeing 777-300 Flight carrying former President Olusegun Obasanjo halted landing at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos yesterday.

It was learnt that the plane carrying three hundred and ninety three passengers from Bole International Airport, Addis Ababa, the Airline hub, could not land on approach at the airport due to a weather condition.

An official of the Ethiopian Airlines said it missed approach or air return, not over shooting of runway as being speculated adding that there was bad weather on landing due to heavy downpour but the pilot circled before landing.

Also on board were the Director of Ports Inspection, National Agency for Food, Drug Administration and Control Samson Tunde Adebayo; the Director-General, Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture, Ayoola Olukanni, among others.

Obasanjo was in the Ethiopian capital to attend the Stakeholders Dialogue on Continental Trade and Strengthening Implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Agreement.
