The Minister of Health, Dr. Osagie Ehanire, has disclosed that all medicines brought into the country as gifts by the Chinese government to fight against coronavirus (COVID-19), will be tested and cleared by the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) before they are used.
He added that the medical team from China coming into the country is to provide technical support for the nation’s healthcare workers, especially on the tactics and strategies they used to reduce the cases of coronavirus in their country.

He also made this known in a briefing by the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 in Abuja yesterday, said: “The team from China is under quarantine and the intended place where the doctors will be kept has been inspected by NCDC before they came.
The Minister also stressed that all medicines and gifts, have to be certified by NAFDAC and agencies involve before Nigerians will use them.”
