The Nigerian Air Force, NAF, has killed a high-ranking Islamic State West Africa province (ISWAP) commander, Bashir Dauda in Marte Local Government Area of Borno State.

The airstrike by NAF also led to the death of 50 fighters while destroying ISWAP supply depot in the Jubularam enclave, which was filled with a substantial amount of food and essential items.

This was disclosed by NAF’s spokesman, Air Commodore Olusola Akinboyewa, on Tuesday.

In a statement he signed, Akinboyewa said: “The NAF conducted a series of Air interdictions targeting three significant enclaves of Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) terrorists in Marte Local Government Area on October 31.
