A United Kingdom, UK-based Non-Governmental organisation, NGO
I. A Foundation, has said it is partnering with the Federal Government to
rehabilitate the high number of street children
in the country back to
school.
The NGO Founder, Ibironke Adeagbo told
journalists in Lagos that the
Foundation would give out bursary allowance to
children from poor
background, to be able to go to school and get
better education.
According to her, the Foundation is also focusing on the
education of
the girl-child, especially in the North-East.
Adeagbo said they are looking for children from the primary
and
secondary schools up to the university level,
starting with Lagos, Ogun and Nasarawa
States.
He added that the available funds would determine the number
of school
children that would benefit from the bursary.
