The Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Sunday Dare has ordered the refund of monies wrongfully paid into the account of Athletics Federation of Nigeria, AFN by the International Association of Athletics Federation, IAAF.
The IAAF had mistakenly granted the Athletics Federation of Nigeria, AFN one-hundred-and-fifty thousand dollars instead of fifteen thousand dollars.
The amount paid was supposed to be the annual grants to member federations for the year 2017.
When the International Association accountants discovered the error, the Athletics Federation of Nigeria was asked to refund the one-hundred-and-thirty-five thousand dollars excess.
