The Federal Government has again invited the leadership of the Nigerian Labour Congress, NLC to a meeting in order to resolve issues over the planned indefinite strike action.

Director Information, Ministry of Labour and Employment, Olajide Oshundun, who made this known in a statement said the meeting slated for today, Monday September 18th.

It added that Labour Minister Simon Lalang Bako, who directed the Department of Trade Unions Services and Industrial Relations to call the meeting also stressed that it was important that the Unions sit with Government to resolve all pending issues to avert further disruption to the economy.

The labour had threatening a total and indefinite shutdown of the economy within 21 days after a two-day warning strike to protest the hardship being experienced across the country.
