The Federal Government has reaffirmed its commitment to prioritise tertiary education that would produce educational institutions globally competitive for the economic and technological development of the country.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu made the pledge during the commissioning of six new block projects worth over 873.7 million naira at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, ATBU and Tatari Ali Polytechnic, ATAP both in Bauchi State.

Tinubu, who was represented by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, explained that education development is one of the priorities of the government, noting that education plays a critical role in the socio-economic development of nations.

He also noted that tertiary Education Trust Fund, TETFund will continue to intervene in providing infrastructure in all tertiary institutions across the country to ensure a conducive environment for learning.
