Para-Soccer: 16 States To Participate In 9th Edition Of National Contest – Federation President

The President of Para-Soccer Federation of Nigeria has confirmed that 16 states would be participating in the 9th edition of the 2021 National Para soccer championship.

President of the Federation Misbahu Didi told reporters in Abuja, that invitation letters have been sent to all the 36 states, and the Federal Capital Territory, FCT.

He added that this is the only championship that the Federation had been organising constantly without any interference for nine years now.

Didi said some of the states have given the federation assurance that they will participate in this year’s championship, adding that Rotate Club had been the only faithful sponsor of our national championship since the beginning of the championship.

The Federation’s President, who had identified funding as the major problem of the federation, urged non-governmental organisations, NGOs to support its various activities. He however, maintained that the federation really needed support from NGOs, philanthropists and other sports lovers, as they yearned to have more competitions.

The 9th edition of the National Para-soccer has been scheduled to hold from October 19 to 24 in Abuja.
