Presidential Spokesman, Garba Shehu, says President Muhammadu Buhari is fully in charge of the country’s affairs.

Reacting to criticism that Buhari has lost his grip on the affairs of the nation, Shehu, in a statement, accused the president’s critics of being unmindful of their words, saying their comments endorse the opposition’s fallacious position that the president is not in charge of his government.

He said though Nigerians are bound to have differing opinions on issues affecting the country, some of their comments promote the agenda of the opposition whom he said ruined the country during their 16 years of corruption on an industrial scale.

Shehu said other nations can attest to Buhari’s integrity as evidenced by how he is recognised as the champion of the anti-corruption fight in Africa.

He added that Buhari would not be distracted by unfounded attacks; neither would he compromise the sacred mandate of Nigerians.
