Anti-Graft Fight: Buhari Meets Members Of Advisory C’ttee

President Muhammadu Buhari has tasked Nigerian Medical Association, NMA to find better ways of improving healthcare service delivery to Nigerians.

He gave the task at the second National Health Summit, NHS and the 25th Commonwealth Medical Association Triennial Conference in Abuja, with the theme; “Patient Centered Care, PCC”.

The President said patients are at the centre of healthcare service delivery and must be accorded confidentiality and due respect. He said lack of medical equipment, poor environment and lack of confidentiality were capable of damaging the health system, noting that mindset could be used to fix the system, not necessarily money.

Chairman of the occasion, Former Head of State, General Yakubu Gowon said he was happy that the association had taken it upon itself, the responsibility of mobilising human resources that would add to the policy thrust of government.

Also the Chief co-host, Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State said the summit was an opportunity to shape the healthcare section of the country.

The Association’s President, Francis Faduyile said Patient Centered Care is all about putting the individual patients first in all considerations regarding care.
