The Head of ECOWAS Election Observers Mission to Nigeria Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, on Saturday led a delegation of the community election observers to Durumi-2, Primary School in Abuja.
The former Liberian President, who arrived the polling unit at about 8:55.am waited patiently until the first female voter Comfort Akale, cast her vote at about 9:50.am.
Efforts to speak to Madam Johnson Sirleaf, was unsuccessful.
The polling unit which has eight voting points was crowded due to the large turnout of electorate. However, some electorate expressed their displeasure over the delay in the commencement of the voting process.
They attributed the delay to the inability of INEC officials to arrive the venue on time.
She attributed the development to the problem she had in transferring her voter card from Wuse-2 to Durumi-2 polling unit.
