Kaduna State Government has imposed twenty four hour curfew on Kajuru Local government Area of the State.
A statement by the Governor’s media aide Samuel Aruwan said the dusk to dawn curfew that has been in place in the council is extended to twenty hours with immediate effect and will be in force till further notice.
The terse statement gave no reason for the extension beyond saying “following events in Kasuwan Magani”.
It would be recalled that Kasuwan Magani has been engulfed in crisis since last year with recurring killings in the local government. Kajuru Castle where a Briton; Foye Mooney ad a Nigerian were killed and five others kidnapped is located in the same Local Government.
