Four government Stadium facilities across the Country including the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna, will get a facelift and be considered for concession according to Sports Minister Sunday Dare.

The Minister says the plan is to “ensure that these stadiums get back to life” as part of government’s renewed efforts to “revive moribund sports infrastructures.”

He said this will be done by coming up with a business model around these initiatives with the private sector to make up for funds where there is limited sources from the Government.

“One of the cardinal focus with be to bring back our stadia particularly, Abuja, Ahmadu Bello stadium Kaduna, Obafemi Awolowo Stadium Ibadan and the national stadium Lagos.

“We are going to look at how we can develop a business model around it. We look at concession or public private partnership.”
